Queue Jumping

Lots of times when we've been in WDW people have queue jumped whether it be for a pin, a ride or frequently to have a photo with a character. Many times I have been some what amazed at how well the CM handles the situation.
On one occassion a CM stopped a family pushing their family to the front for a photo with Hook, She just shook her head and pointed to the back of the line and continued to do it until they obviously got the message and decided they didn't want a photo anyway.
In another thread it is mentioned that a CM pointing someone to the back of a line was somewhat annoying, well I for one think its great a big :sohappy: for the CM.
Has anyone any similar experiences and what do they think about the CM who do the MANNERS lessons?

The most common thing I see are people pretending they dont speak (or even read) english....choosing an argument of "Innocent ignorance" in a lame attempt to hop lines..skip ahead..etc...

Really annoying and it never ceases to amaze me everytime I see them try,

One small side note to all this....most my friends (myself included) are multilangual...between us we can speak over 9 languages...so we are happy to translate to them how they have to go to the back just like everyone else :)

I usually just glare and say nasty things about them.

Uh oh, I hope the CM wasn't pointing with one finger only. Time to go back to Traditions class.

See...Id say nasty things to them...but in reality..they really DO speak english..but pretend they dont....so instead we make them look like fools when we speak their native language and make them follow the rules...much more rewarding..

Never had a CM handle the situation but I did learn that the guests from South America think they are doing nothing wrong. The concept of queing is completely 'foreign' to them. South American's do not line up for anything, they just fight to the front and go. It is a cultural thing and trying to change their attitudes is impossible.

I hope everybody realizes that Mexico IS part of North America! ;)
We do lines here too. (although we always try to find a "friend" ahead of us in the queue... ;) ) In any case, here, the others won´t let you jump, that´s for sure!;)

The last encounter I had was in August, this huge guy and his girlfriend were snaking their way towards the front of the MILLIONAIRE line which is really a crowd of people. Walked right past me, like nothing was up, the went all the way to the front. I don't understand why someone has to cut to the front in Millionaire, because everyone will get in, no need to cut.

The funny thing was: This same guy who cut in front of my face GOT INTO THE HOT SEAT!

I have too much patience when people jump in front... I'll allow ONE person.. only one. After that person though, I get mad. I'll politely tell them to get back, if they play dumb, or just say no, I'll ask them again in 3 languages. If they still insist, I will very UNPOLITELY tell them where they can go if they don't go back. That usually works. If not, then I just walk right on front of them and correct the situation

I tend to watch for it.. I've been to disney so much that I can almost spot queue jumpers... they are always silent, kinda creepin' along slowly. I'll put an arm on the rope or rail to make sure they don't jump ahead, and hold Christie's hand while she holds the other rail :D

Another thing I can't stand are people who kick the back of your feet constantly during a line. I've asked people to please respect my distance several times.....

I agree completely about getting kicked in line. What is that all about. They will get on the ride - no need to breath down my neck! YUCK!

When this does happen, I usually hold back when the line in front of me moves forward or I stand quite a distance from the person in front of me. It may be juvenile, but it works for me.

Just remember if you ever go to the Mansion to fill all the dead space in the outside queue this does include the area to the left of the shaded part, if no one is standing there you can virtually cut a good 10 min out.

I don't let people go by at all, and if they cut in front of me I just say you cut in front of me or something and usually they would just be surprised I said something they would back off :)
