Questions about MVMCP

This may be a stupid question, but I haven't been to WDW in Dec. in 20 years so here goes...... I am heading to WDW and will be there the first week of Dec. On 12/3, the MK has the MVMCP and evening extra magic hours ( MK closes at 12am that night). I know that you have to pay for a seperate ticket for MVMCP. Does this mean to take advantage of the xtra hours, you will need to purchase another ticket just to stay in the park? Again I apologize if this an inane question and thanks for the help!

MVMCP is on the 2nd and 4th that week.
That would explain the evening EMH on the 3rd. On party nights, MK is closed to the public and only those holding tickets for the party are admitted.

I would double check the schedule. Disney would not schedule a Christmas party and evening EMH on the same night. They may have morning EMH on the same day as a party but not evening.
