Questions about dining on the Fantasy - Western

Hey guys! So we rebooked for the Fantasy next November and we are trying to decide which nights we would like to do Palo for dinner. I know it's a LONG way off.... I like to plan ahead! Does anyone know what the dining rotations are on the Fantasy Western C itinierary? I know the Pirate night menu was not the best for me on the Dream, so if we know which night Pirate night is, we may try and schedule Palo for then. I definitely do NOT want it to be on the nights that the regular menus are in effect because I enjoyed all those meals. I also think I read somewhere that there are a couple other menus as well? See Ya Real Soon dinner? Or something like that? If anyone has any insight on this I would appreciate it! :)

I would do it Grand Caymen night or costs maya as you leave early.
Our Costa Maya excursion went very long, and we got back just in time for our Palo reservation. Granted, we had a fairly early reservation (6 or 6:15), but by the time we got back, showered and got dressed, we were really hoofing it to get to dinner.

I'd have to look back through my trip report to figure out what the menu themes were. But as far as timing goes, if your reservation is for a port day, I'd just make a slightly later reservation to be sure that you have time to get ready for dinner. Maybe give yourself an hour and a half or so after the ship's scheduled time to depart port.

I'd also recommend that you NOT miss your second meal in Animator's Palate. So make your Palo reservation for whenever you want (sea day, port day, whatever), but then when you arrive at the terminal, make sure your rotation doesn't place your second Animator's dinner on the night of your Palo reservation.

My Palo reservation fell on the second night of Animator's like ChuckEias said. We called Palo and asked them to see if we could change days and they happily obliged. If your rotation ends up on that day, just call and ask to change...

Your other option is to change your dining rotation. You can ask to have your first dinner in a different rotational restaurant.
Absolutely!
The wife and I weren't aware of when the Mickey night was until the head server told us. So we called on the third day on the ship... We missed Pirate night dinner though...

We totally would not mind missing Pirate Night. While we love the theme, the menu wasn't something I really cared for. Thanks for the input everyone!! I think we might try and do Palo dinner earlier in the cruise, if not on Pirate Night.

The Western Caribbean itinerary C is new and hasn't been sailed yet, I think. We just did the Western Caribbean on the Fantasy last week as well as at the end of May this year. The at-sea days and port days are the same but the ports are a little different. Let's see:

Night 1: I think was a regular menu. It's the only MDR we went to on our recent cruise. LOL!

Night 2: DCL always does formal night the first at-sea night. By that, THIS is your formal night. Trying to remember if there was a special menu for tonight.

Night 5: This was our Pirate Night. Tracey & I had dinner at Palo this night because it was the actual day of our anniversary. We didn't even bother with any pirate events. We just enjoyed our amazing meal.

Night 6: I'm pretty sure this was our semi-formal night. Cannot remember for the life of me if semi-formal was regular menu or not. I know I'm not much help. It'd definitely worth mentioning this was semi-formal, tho.

Night 7: Pretty sure I remember a farewell menu, too. Again, can't be sure. In May by this time I didn't even want to be in the dining room at all. LOL!

I know I'm not much help. Hopefully some of that could help with the Palo decisions. Remember, there are many available reservations held back for booking once you get onboard. As soon as you board go to where the dining changes are being made (it'll be noted in your Navigator) and get the full scoop. You can request a rotation change at this location as well as add more Palo reservations.
