Questions about changing rooms during our DVC stay

I have another question. We are planning on breaking our stay up into three different rooms/resorts in October. Crazy I know.

We want to visit our home resort for the first time and stay in a one bedroom. We have that booked for Sunday through Thursday. We didn't want to use the exhorbitant number of points it takes for a 1 bedroom Savannah view on the weekends, so we're changing. If we're going to change to a studio anyway, I want to change to another resort for Friday and Saturday night that I've never stayed at (like Boardwalk). I think we are also going to add the Saturday night before our stay on in a concierge room so we can try the sunrise safari. So hence the three different rooms.

Here's my questions:

The change in the same hotel won't be a problem with our luggage, but what about changing resorts? We've changed resorts once during our stay before but it wasn't DVC. Does it work the same way? Do we just take out luggage to bell services and they take their sweet time (:D) about getting it to the new resort?

Also, are these three different reservations? I would like to purchase the dining plan but it would be great if we didn't have to buy it for all 9 days. It's just SO much food. I know you have to buy it for the length of your stay but I figured if it's three different stays - there's our loophole.

We've done the switch from studio to 1BR but only at the same resort so I can't help you there but I believe it works the same as you say.
As far as the dining plan, if it is in fact three different reservations then splitting up the dining plan shouldn't be a problem either. However, you must use the dining credits during that portion of your stay. If you are staying 3 nights at AKV and using the dining plan, then you must use the three snack, cs and ts credits by the end of your check out day for that stay or else they expire. You can't roll them over to the next part of your vacation. At least that's my interpretation of how the plan works.

Thanks Disneyphd. That's my understanding of the plan too. I was thinking we would get it for the five night stay in the middle. Then Friday and Saturday night we could take a break from all that food, and eat leftovers that we've been saving! That's a benefit to having a kitchen!! The ability to save food!

I'm just thinking of all the snack credits we "had" to use up on our last day. I can see you storing up all the mickey ice cream bars and popcorn for the last few days of your stay.:ROFLOL: But hey, after 5 days of the dining plan, I could probably go a few days without eating.
