Questions about BOG Lunch

I have reservations for lunch with my wife and daughter at Be Our Guest in two weeks and have a few questions before we go.

First, we are planning to order ahead, which according to some of the research that I've done, would be a wise decision without really any negatives. My understanding is that if we do this, we can bypass the ordering kiosks and just go right to a table when we enter the castle? And the waitstaff will know which items to bring us?

Also - We have the Deluxe Dining Plan, which I believe is only good for one entree and one drink per person for quick service meals. So, if I go scroll through the website and pre-order three entrees (one from the children's menu for my daughter) and three drinks (should these be pre-ordered?), will it show my balance as $0.00? Or will the price be reduced to that when we arrive?

On a similar note -- Because desserts are not included in a quick service meal, I assume that selecting one or two of those would indicate a charge, and we could just pay for that portion of the meal in person? Or perhaps a snack credit can be used?

Finally - As for what to order, I'm strongly leaning toward the braised pork, and my wife is looking at the tuna nicoise salad, but we are open to suggestions and other input.

Thanks very much.

Yes, if you pre-order you can skip the line for the ordering kiosks.

Pre-order everything you’d like, including drinks and desserts. No payment (credit card or Dining credits) is due at that time. The order will reflect the value of the items you’ve selected.

When you check in at the booth (located on the far left before the bridge to the restaurant), a cast member will scan your Magicband and hand you a plastic yellow rose. Keep to the left as you walk down the bridge and wait for a cast member near the door to invite you inside. Your next stop will be at the cashier, who will take the rose, scan your band and review your order. (You are able to make changes if necessary.) The cast member will let you know if you are able to use snack credits on your desserts (I have never used the Deluxe Dining Plan and do not know.)

When your transaction is complete you and your party may find an open table in one of the three dining rooms. You get your own napkins and silverware from a cart and beverages from the beverage island. Your order will be delivered to your table (tracked by your MagicBand) within 10-15 minutes.

The braised pork is excellent as are the turkey sandwich and French dip. I have never tried the tuna.

The French onion soup is amazing. Agree about the pork.

And echoing what @Tuvalu said, pre-order for sure. And then check in on the left hand side kiosk on the bridge. Do not get into the long line on the right hand side, that is for those who didn't pre-order!
