We are planning to go to wdw from 9/9/11 to 9/19/11. We booked a magic your way vacattion package on disney pop resort on the 9/12. So the question is if we can use the magic express to get out of the orlando international airport? Or it has to be on the exact dates of our scheduled days in wdw??? Thanks.

Magical Express will not transport you before your resort check-in date. (They'll transport you *after* your checkin date, like if someone in your party comes a day or two later than everyone else, but not before)

You didn't say where you're staying for the first three days, but were you expecting a Disney bus service to bring you to a non-Disney hotel? :veryconfu

Each voucher is scanned before you are allowed on the bus. They are very strict about this (they are strict about it, if for no other reason, than the sub-contractor, Mears, gets paid by Disney on a per-passenger basis, and also because the Greater Orlando Airport Authority charges Disney a per-person fee for each person who uses DME to leave the airport. So yes, they definitely scan the vouchers. And since they are scanned, the computer does all the work of "looking" at it, and thus the computer will immediately notify the cast member or Mears employee if it's not a valid voucher.

You are permitted to get a ride from the airport to your resort on OR AFTER your check-in day, and you are permitted to get a ride from your resort to the airport on OR BEFORE your check-out day. So if you are arriving in Orlando on the 9th but aren't checking-in to a Disney resort until the 12th, you are not entitled to a DME ride on the 9th.

about getting out of the airport.

THANKS SO THE ONLY WAY TO GET OUT OF THE AIRPORT WITH OUT USING THE DISNEY MAGICAL EXPRESS IS EITHER RENTING A CAR OR BY CAB!!

AND YOU ARE RIGHT I´M NOT STAYING AT ANY OF THE WDW HOTELS FOR THE FIRST 3 DAYS, I WAS PLANNING ON GOING TO THE DISNEY CAR CARE CENTER TO PICK UP MY BOOKED CAR!

You have additional options other than a taxi or rental car.

Mears operates shared-ride vans and buses. One-way fare is about $21 per person.
A taxi for the same trip (regardless of number of passengers) would be about $45-$60.

There's a public bus (Lynx) that's only about $2-$3 per person, but it's far more inconvenient than the savings are worth.

You could also see what adding the extra days onto your rental car (and changing the pickup to the airport) would do to your overall cost.
