I looked around for this info, but haven't located it. Under each user name on this site it lists "Earning ears" "Just Joined" etc. First I wonder what some of these mean, what does earning ears mean, are thy cast members? And how long does the "Just Joined" stay with you? Thank you in advance for your answers. :animwink:

No problem... keep in mind some of the titles are a bit different (the newer titles have been in place for a few months, "New Here" is one of the newer ones).

These are people who are paying for the premium membership--$5 a month to support Steve and the website. Hence, we get that "title" no matter how many posts we have.

Just for your info, Mr. Johnson:
Every three months, a committee of 5 members reviews the quality and quantity of posts of randomly selected people. Anyone with a high daily post count rate is 'red flagged' and audited for violations of the terms of service which includes "deliberate attempts to increase a post count by issuing redundant threads, responding to posts with little or no substantive content or creativity or, otherwise, causing the usage of forum bandwidth without intellectually contributing to the overall growth of the forum."
If a member is deemed in violation, he/she will receive a written warning from the committee indicating that "the membership privilege is in jeopardy of being revoked unless immediate and substantial improvement of the member's posts are apparent. Any member receiving a warning from the committee will automatically incur a 50% reduction in post count and will recieve a title of 'posting ' for a 30 day probationary period."

Great Idea!
For all those hung-up on the whole "I-want-high-posts-and-a-title" thing, let them pay a higher fee, and they can call themselves....whatever! Pay-per-title!
(I should get an up-grade just for that awesome idea!)
