So I read a while back where disney is now letting people in the parks whenever it gets crowded enough out front... is this still happening and if so, do they still do the welcome show at the magic kingdom?

I'll be going with my family and bring my parents along next week and would like for them to see it

thanks

I think the Magic Kingdom is the only park that still has a welcome show. But it is still performed every morning....An abbreviated version is usually done when there are extra magic hours in the morning..

Magic Kingdom definitely has a welcome show (I watch it every time I go), but the others haven't had one at least since 2009, or if they have, I've never seen them. They definitely don't let people into the parks early. You just have to cram in there like sardines!

We saw a Welcome show at Animal Kingdom in April 2010. It was short, only about 5 minutes. Mickey, Minnie, Donald and goofy came out on floats and welcomed us to the park then the floats drove off and CMs held us back by a rope as we walked into the park. Once we got to the tree of life, they let us free.

The Adventure Begins welcome show at Animal Kingdom was unfortunately discontinued in December 2011.

Magic Kingdom is the only park that still has a welcome show.
