Question re People Visiting Resort Guests

While we are at AKL in March, my brother's family will be in Orlando on vacation. If they want to come visit us at our 'home resort', can they park at the lodge?

If so, I know that resort guests have to show id, but what would they have to show? Is there a parking rate?

Thanks.

Yes they can come visit. When they get to the guard they just have to tell them they are visiting a group that is there. They may or may not be asked for a photo ID, but nothing more. After that they will be allowed in and can meet you. There is no charge to park at any of the WDW resorts.

Isn't there a 3 hour parking pass that guests not staying at the resort have to get?

Certainly they can visit you at the resort. My brother comes to visit us at the resort all the time. They just have to tell the guard at the gate they are visiting a guest at that resort. They may or may not be asked for the name of the guest they are visiting. They won't be charged to park and there is no time limit. Have a great time!

Is it the same deal if you have dinner reservations at a resort?

Never been to the resorts before but have reservations for Jiko so not sure how it works.

Thanks

Sometimes, but not usually. The only time I have ever seen this is during very busy times at either the MK or Epcot resorts. You also usually need to have a confirmed reservation on those days before they will even let you in. Most of the time though they don't give you any pass or require you have a reservation.

Yes, it will work exactly the same way. When you get to the gate just tell the guard you are eating at Jiko. They still may or may not check your ID and then they will point you in the direction to Jambo House.
