Question on tipping with free dining plan

This whole thread makes me sad for you people.

Perhaps it should be a requirement for everyone at some point in their lives to work in the service industry. :(

My totaly unscientific survey (Looking at 15 random websites by googling for "tipping etiquette") comes up with 14 saying you tip on the pre tax amount and 1 saying use post tax.


Me personaly, I tip post tax most of the time - some of the time not. What I really do is round the total bill to a whole amount. Whatever that comes out to is what it comes out to. It could be 19.2% or it could be 21.3%

And yes, I tip on the TOTAL - food and drinks.

I don't know about WDW, but in some places the wait staff pools tips, other times not. Also the cut that goes to the bar and to the back of the house varies.
