Question: "Aristocats" Bus?

I think this was asked before but I couldn't find it in a search of the forums.

While in Disney last week I saw several buses with "Aristocats" written on them.

What the heck is that? Is this a bus for some kind of special event?

Thanks!

You'll see "Aristocats," "Mickey Mouse," "Donald Duck," "Remy," etc... and on this last trip, I also saw odd ones like "DHDTD," "DHHS," etc.

I think they stand for "Dis Here's DownTown Disney" :lookaroun

Seriously though, I don't know. I just presumed driver training.

When buses show a character name or something odd like that, it's either a Cast Member shuttle bus, or it's only dropping people off before heading elsewhere (another location to pick up, heading back to the garage, etc).

The character names are a little more "Disney" than "Out Of Service".

Ah thank you! I was just at the world last week and kept seeing the Aristocats bus and wondered if it was for rich people or something :ROFLOL:Pay enough and get your own bus!!

Also, the character on the bus destination sign alerts those who need to know what version of the software is installed on the Magic in Motion console on that bus. Every time that a new version rolls out, you will see some different characters on the signs, but, after a few weeks, they will all be showing whatever character is assigned to the newest software.

Buses that carry Cast Members will generally display VIP CAST MEMBER on the sign, except at Epcot, where it is CAST EAST and CAST WEST.

But, does the "DH" part of the name mean anything? One said DHYC so I figured it had something to do with Yacht Club.
