First off welcome! I like your avatar.

What "special" stuff do you want from mousekeeping? Extra towels or toiletries? Just ask them. You will see them in the hallways, tell them your room number & make your request.

ps this forum is a good place for resort hotel questions.

Depends on what...

Depends on what you want. You can always call the housekeeping number with requests, if you are around when they start their rounds you can ask, or you can leave a written message.

By the way, if they are doing a good job, it would be nice to leave them a little something on the bed for them. You never know, they have been known to leave surprises in return. :)

Like everyone said, it depends what you want to do. If are looking for towel animals to be done daily or plush toys to be lined up for you, unfortunately the housekeepers are not required to do them. That doesn't mean they wouldn't do it if you made a special request.

I think the two best options for having something special done to the room are first, contacting guest services. They probably have good information and could help you out. Then, second, maybe try contacting housekeeping.

Good luck to you in your plans. :)

If it's fun things left in your room that you're looking for, $$ has always worked for us. We first discovered this accidentally. A few years back when our daughter was only 3mos. old she spit up on our bed. We left a note asking them to please change the sheets, and because I felt so bad that we had only slept there one night, I left some $$. Well from that day on we discovered little surprises, towel animals, our plushes in the bathtub or watching the disney channel lined up on the bed. We also found our son's toy vehicles lined up on the window sill having a race. So since that time we have decided to leave our tip at the beginning instead of at the end. Yes, some would say(my husband) that you're buying this treat, but it's for the children :animwink: and you were probably going to leave gratuity anyway.

Enjoy

We never leave money. My wife does stained glass work and she will bring several small items to leave for the staff. I have also heard of folks bringing unique items from their home towns that people in Orlando would not normally see.

We're just a couple of old fuds but we still get towel animals and other fun surprises. Also, we stay at the All Stars, so it isn't limited to the moderates and above.
