It is great. Its the finest dining experience, I've ever had..We just did it for our tenth anniversary and it was evrything we'd hoped....i think you have to go in with a real appreciation for culinary talent and a desire to try things you will probably never try any where else. The service is fantastic and they really put you at ease and make you feel special

We went 12/01 and 7/02. It was the most amazing experience ever. I am usually a picky eater, however you'd be surpised what you try and realize that you like when you go there. I nearly died when I asked Victoria what foie grois was after we'd both tried it and couldn't decide wether it was a mushroom that had been soaked in butter or a piece of meat marinated in buttercream. But it was good! And we would never have tried it otherwise. The menu changes daily. When we went in July the menu was:

Amuse Bouche

Choice of:
Maine Lobster and Lentil Salad with Spicy Lemon Vinaigrette
Smoked Buffalo with Heirloom Tomatoes Hearts of Palm and
Balsamic
Iranian Karabaurun Golden Oestra Caviar, Traditional Garnish

Choice of:
Scallop "Almondine" over Frence Beans and Walla Walla Onions
Poussin "Oscar" with Dungeness Crab and Sauce Bernaise
Monterey Abalone with Meyer Lemon, White Wine and Baby
Spinach

Choice of:
Chicken Consomme
Shellfish Bisque

Choice of:
Carvey Muscovy Duck with Sweet Potatoes and Foie Gras
Yellowtail Snapper over German Butterball Potatoes and
Brentwood Corn
Grilled Prime Fillet over Cauliflower-Potato Puree and Cabernet Jus
Jamison Farms Lamb with Wild Mushroom "Canneloni", Truffle
Emulsion

Choice of:
Taleggio, Passendale and Great Hill Blue with Burgundy Poached
Pear
Terrine of Sorbet with Seasonal Fruits

Choice of:
Pyramid of Tanzani Chocolate Mousse with Strawberries
Warm Pineapple in a Crepe "Purse"
Hawaiian Kona Chocolate Souffle (VERY good - try the Godiva one
if they have it, it comes with hot Godiva Chocolate sauce)
Caramelized Banana Gateau
Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee
Grand Marnier Souffle (VERY good!)

There is Wine Pairing available for $42pp and the menu is fixed price $85pp. It is definitely worth trying at least once. The waitstaff is so attentive you practically get spoiled. I went to the Ladies room (the restaurant has their own one which is quite something inside too) and as soon as I opened the door out into the entryway to go back to my seat the concierge Windsor was already halfway to my table with a new napkin on his arm and holding my chair out. And they never addresss you as sir or maam, it's always Mrs. ____ or Mr. ____. Toward the end of dinner the Maitre d goes around to each table and thanks each person (again Mr. ____ and Mrs. ____) for coming and asks how you are enjoying your meal, etc. There is generally a harpist, or a violinist playing intermittently thru out dinner. Definitely get the coffee wether you drink coffee or not, it is so cool how they do it.

Hope this info was helpful!

Just don't forget your suit.

I heard the experience is the best when you get the chef's table...it is more expensive but you get the extra special attention from the gourmet chef himself.

The Chef's Table is probably all booked up by now. However you probably still can get a regular reservation. We had to call and change our booking from one day to another once only about 5 days before we were supposed to be there, the days/seatings left were a bit limited, but we managed to get a new day and time. So call ASAP and be as flexible as possible.

Making a reservation also depends on when you are going. You said you will be there in a few weeks, which mean you might be there during christmas time. This means you might have some trouble getting a reservation for any table. I would recommend calling ASAP and booking the PS.

Victoria and Alberts Chefs Table must be booked 180 days out, otherwise it's 120 days out. Good luck with getting a PS for that day. Let me know what you had when you come back! I love that restaurant!

Even though it isn't as elegant, you might want to try Narcoossee's as a substitute for this trip. I heard it is a more casual V&A.

I would highly recommend CITRICO'S as an alternative to V & A's.
It is in the GF right next door to Victoria & Alberts, but more casual dress. The food is outstanding, the service is superb, and a fantastic selection of wines. Plus you can see part of the fireworks from the MK. It has become our favorite restaurant at WDW. I have never been disappointed. If they don't have what you want, they will go out of their way to make it for you is possible.
