Question about ultimate park hopper

It would cost us $200 extra with the Fairytale Package. I was just wondering if people thought it was worth it. Our children are 4 and 7. We will have more than half a day on a Sun. in Sept. and until about 7pm on the following Sat. We weren't planning on going to any of the water parks because I'm afraid they'd be packed on the weekend. I don't know much about Disney Quest. I read that your ultimate pass can be used as a credit card at the parks and paid off when you leave. Do the other passes have that option? Any opinions would be welcomed.

IMHO, packages are not often worth it (for my family)

The major perk with them is the water parks, which you aren't planning on using.

Fortunately, you will have time on arrival and departure days to get in some park time--we haven't always been so lucky.

Your kids might have fun at Disney Quest, but I think they are a little young to get the full benefit from it.

I also feel the pressure to do the parks all day, every day, to "get my money's worth" out of the package. This is, of course, not the way to approach things with young children who will have a meltdown without frequent breaks from the over-stimulation of the parks.

If you are spending $200 less without the package, I'd stick with that.

The other extras are probably something you can also do without.

Your room key at a Disney resort (not your park pass) can be used as a charge card. You will be asked if you want this option as check-in. You can set it up so the kids' keys do not have charging capabilities.

I received a wrong quote the first time. The difference is only $173 for 7 of us. $125 for our family. I think that makes it worth it to go to a park on our arrival and departure day if we choose and try out Disney Quest and have a back up if it God forbid rains. I'm glad to know the kids can't charge!:p
