May is a good time to go, it is only crowded on Mother's Day and at the end of the month for Memorial Day weekend. The middle of the month is great, I've been down at that time many times. May can sometimes be cool where you might need pants, but there have been other times where I have worn shorts the entire time. What I normally do is go on the weather channel website in the beginning about a month before my trip and monitor how the weather is going along and when it gets closer to my trip I do the 10 day projection. I do this for every trip and have never had a problem with not having the right clothing packed.

we went in May of last year, we were there the first week and I was comfortable in shorts, my sister wore pants the whole time but that is personal preference not because she needed to. we had a great time, lines wern't too bad and weather was great.

I went last May (on the 11th) and never needed pants. However, bring a sweatshirt for night and pick up a poncho. I got stuck in a rainstorm between the Epcot gate and the bus stop over to MGM... that was cold!!!!!

I guess it depends on preference....

The crowds aren't too bad. I think later in the month it begins to shift. I am going on the 17th this year. The park hours are later, but I am not too worried about crowds.

May is also a wonderful time to go because of the Flower show in Epcot. Have fun!

We have gone the first week in May and had great weather. We wore shorts the entire trip and it only rained on our first and last day. I believe that I did packed a pair of jeans & sweatshirt for each of us just in case. As metioned above be sure to check weather.com before your trip.

Please go to weather.com
You can get 10-day forecasts when your trip is a little closer.
You can also get historical information regarding the weather last May.

Only you know what kind of clothing you will need.

I have been the last two Mays...I loved going then. The weather is warm...I don't remember needing a jacket or pants...I mostly wore shorts. It is up to your personal tastes though.

As for the crowds...they really aren't bad. The longest we really had to wait in line was for 45 minutes and those were for the big ticket rides. (Like Big Thunder and Splash). It was really a great time to go. Enjoy!
