Question about transportation

We booked a Key's to the Kingdom tour for our Disney Honeymoon on Wednesday June 22. The tour starts at the Magic Kingdom at 8:30 and they want us there by 8:15. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside.

My big question is this. The park doesn't open until 9:00 that day, so the buses don't start until 8:00am correct? What is the best way to get to the Magic Kingdom to make it to the tour on time.

Sorry for such a long post. I am new to this (it's only by second trip to the world) and we are trying to finalize all are plans.

Thanks for any help.

There are character breakfast buses that start running earlier than the normal bus operations. Check with guest services at the resort when you get there to see what schedule these buses will be running on.

As mentioned, Character Breakfast buses should start running around 7am. They don't run on set routes, so you just tell the driver where you need to go.

Park-specific buses start running about an hour before park opening.

During early morning runs at WDW, I have seen the buses up and about by 6:30 AM. So they are definitely running early enough to get you there. You just need to make sure you are outside with enough time to spare in case you just miss it and have to wait for the next one.

Stop at Guest Services when you check in. Tell them you're on your honeymoon and you have the tour. They may transport you with a van or car. They do this all the time.

There ARE buses that early that do have set routes; they are not exclusively marked as character breakfast buses. There will be Magic Kingdom buses as early as about 6:30 a.m.

As CleveRocks said, the buses are no longer marked as "Breakfast" buses but just as regular park buses. Every park has breakfast ADRs that are available before regular park hours so buses are up and running to get guests to the parks for those ADRs in plenty of time.

Since you're staying at Riverside I would recommend being at the Main Stop for 7am on the morning of your tour to ensure you're at the Magic Kingdom in time for your tour. We did the Wild by Design Tour at Animal Kingdom when we stayed at French Quarter and we had no problems getting an Animal Kingdom bus and we were at the bus stop by 7am. We saw plenty of buses for MK coming through.
