If your staying in the Value resorts and you want to ride the monorail to go and look at some of the hotels instead of riding the bus, where can you go to get on to the monorail from the Value resorts?

You can't.

The only monorail line that takes you to hotels (Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Polynesian) can either be boarded at said hotel stations, the TTC or the MK station.
It is called the resort monorail line.

If you take the bus from your resort to MK you can walk past the entrance to the park and board the Resort Monorail and ride it around to the Contemporary, the Tranportation and Ticket Center [TTC], the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian and then back to MK. You can get off and have a walk around each of the resorts as you go. The trains run often, so you won't have to wait long once you're ready to move on from each resort.

Enjoy! I personally love the Great Ceremonial House at Poly best, but all three are worth visiting.

All of the resorts are amazing in their own ways. I suggest checking out all 3 of the resorts that run on the monorail line. They all are uniquely different, and they all offer great dining opportunities.

I wonder if Disney will ever invest in expanding the monorail. I would love for it the be boarded everywhere.

What does TTC stand for?
Ticket and transportation center. It is the set of buildings where you either board the monorail to MK or Epcot or take the ferry to MK.

Your best bet is to take the bus to MK and hop on the resort monorail (not the express) This will take you to the 3 resorts on the monorail line. Unfortunately there is no great way to access all of the other resorts without a car. All can be accessed by bus from any of the 4 parks or from Down Town Disney. Wilderness lodge and Ft wilderness can also be reached by boat from MK only. The Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach club, Swan and Dolphin can be walked to from either Epcot or DHS. Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter and Saratoga Springs can also be accessed by water from DTD only.

Riding the monorail to resort hop is a great way to spend some time at Disney. The attention to detail that goes into Disney resorts is 2nd to none. You can't get on a monorail at a value resort. You could however ride a bus to the MK and then hop on the resort monorail. Have fun!!

If you are looking at resorts you cant miss visiting the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I think its one of the best resorts Disney has built and there is lots to see there. It is a little bit of a bus trip to get to but well worth it.
