Question about the buy 4 get 3 free deal

I know this has been asked before, but my searching skills must be pitiful because I can't find the answer. If you're only staying for five or six days, can you still use this deal?
Thanks!

why not stay the extra couple days if its free.

Just asking. You may have very good reason, school, work etc.

A couple of different reasons: 1. We'll be coming back in December for 8 nights. 2. We're going to Yellowstone for 2 weeks in June/July 3. For every day I'm away from work it costs me quite a bit of money in lost revenue, so if we want to go on the other trips we can only go for 5 days max in May.

When are you going? Is there another discount being offered for your dates? The B4G3 is obviously the best deal for a 7-night stay, but if you're staying less (or perhaps if you were staying for more) nights and there's another discount option, it might be worth it to at least do the calculations and see which is cheaper.

On the B4G3 you're paying full price for the first four nights, with the additional nights free. A discounted rate on a shorter trip would apply to all nights on the reservation.

Example:
7 nights with 3 free is a 43% discount off the enitre price of the stay.
6 nights with 2 free is a 33% discount.
5 nights with 1 free is only a 20% discount.

There are often discounts that are greater than 20%.

(Of course, something else to factor in is if you're going during the dates where you get the $200 gift card with the B4G3 promo, that would sweeten the deal and perhaps make up for the fact that you're not getting as big of a discount)

EDIT: I can put numbers to this that can quantify things...
I just plugged in a 5-night stay, two adults, 2/21-2/26 at a Value resort into both specials that are valid at that time. (I also included 1-day base tickets in both even though the other offer is a room-only, so that the bottom line is comparable)

Under the B4G3 promo, it's $727.
Under the Jan-to-March discount offer, it's $649. That's almost $80 cheaper.

*But* the B4G3 promo gets you the $200 gift card during those dates, so in the long run that would be a better deal. But you can see how without the gift card offer, the B4G3 isn't your best option.

My suggestion: If there isn't a different promo being offered for your dates, book the B4G3 promo now. That way you at least get SOME kind of a discount. Then if a discount comes out that's a better deal for you, switch over to that one.

Rob,
Thanks for the advice! We originallly booked the WL with the AAA discount which was 10% off. After talking it over with my wife, we decided that I'll leave work a little early one day prior to our original departure date and stay 6 nights instead of 5 without costing us anything more. That way we can fly out on a Thursday night, instead of Friday morning, and we'll be able to have a full day at the parks on Friday.

Thats exactly what Disney is hopeing.. they would rather give you a free room for the night because they know that you will need food and will buy souvineers than let it sit empty. Its just good marketing which works out good for us that would have been planning on staying for that long anyway.
