Question about Soarin Over

What is this ride? I have never been to Disneyland or DCA before... i heard it was like a hanglider or something like that???

I think it's a bit like Star Tours, I was only 9 when I went to DCA and I was a big chicken so I didn't go on it, because I thought it was a thrill ride

I wouldn't call it a "thrill ride", and its nothing like Star Tours.

Soarin is basically just an IMAX film, but instead of sitting on stationary seats, you are suspended over the screen, and your chair moves as though you were flying.

There are also scents you experience as you fly over, you smell the orange grove and the pine forests. I think there are others but I don't remember. Also in addition to being lifted up you also come forward so you are surrounded by the screen so it's a bit different perspective than a regular Imax. It's a very fun ride
