I was just wondering, if I enter the Magic Kingdom at Disney World in October in the morning, and I stay all day. At 7:00pm am I kicked out of the park and forced to pay for a new ticket to re enter cause of the Mickey's not so scary Halloween? How does that work? Obviously I have never been to the Halloween party before. If someone could just fill me in on this matter. Thank you.

I have never attended the Halloween party either, but I will be attending the Christmas party for the first time ever this year. From what I've been told, if you buy a ticket to enter MK during the day, then you will be kicked out before the party begins. I know for the Christmas party the park closes at 6pm. The party will start about an hour later and to get in you must purchase a separate ticket for the event. If you only purchase a ticket for the party, then you won't be able to enter the park until that evening. Therefore, to stay in the park from the opening time that morning until midnight, you will need two tickets -- one for the day and one for the evening.

If oyu have a ticket to the party you will NOT be kicked out, but will be forced into 1 "land" for the hour in between. You will need to exchange your party ticket for a wristband before 6pm. If you do not have a ticket to the party &/or wristband then you WILL be kicked out at 6pm.

The park is offically open until 6PM on party nights. This is why many people who do not attend choose a park that is open later to tour that day. If you do visit the MK that day, you are not "forced" to buy a ticket and return for the seperate, hard ticket event.

If you choose to attend the additional event and purchase your ticket, you do not have to leave the park. If you have a bracelet, you will be directed to ne or two lands (typically Tomorrowland) which will remain open during the change over, which offically is scheduled for the full hour between 6 and 7. However, most evenings (especially the lower attended parties) it will happen much earlier; I've been in Fantasyland riding rides by 6:25 before.

If you do not have a bracelet you will be cheerfully directed to the exit.

Dinner around park close is another option people have, if they are staying for the hard ticket event. If we attend another hard ticket event, we plan to have a dinner reservation during the "change-over", so to speak. Specifically, Crystal Palace for dinner. :)

Yet another option (since the in-park restaurants get full so quickly during that peak time) is to have dinner at one of the monorail resorts. This cuts a few minutes out of your party time, but has the advantage of having a more relaxed meal and then getting to walk into Main Street already decorated.

I'd only recommend that on a slower night, though. We did it last year on a Tuesday in early Oct and it worked wonderfully. Had a 5PM at the Poly, and got to the MK at about 6:45 just as they were begining to let people in. Was a tiny bit crowded for a few moments, but the party atmosphere couldn't be beaten.

If you are looking strictly to maximize ride time, though, best bet all around is to grab a quick service meal and wait it out in Tomorrowland.

We will be attending MVMCP on dec 14. would it be best to be in the Mk a couple hours before the party to avoid the crowds getting in at the start of the party??
