Question about linking tickets to KTTW card

After owning an AP for the last 8 or 9 years I've forgotten a lot about regular park tickets. I think it is possible to link your ticket to your key to the world card when staying on site. My question is, what if you have a split stay? We have 5 day passes and will be using two of those while staying at one resort, then we go on a cruise, and then stay at another resort. To make matters even more complicated I plan on adding and extra day. Would it be possible for me to link my tickets to our room keys, or should I not even bother? I'm mainly looking for convenience of having to dig one less card our of my wallet.

We have bought tickets through undercover tourist and had them linked to our KTTW card when we stayed at Pop. We also added a day toward the end of that trip no problem - just went to the front desk and they handled it. The only times we have done a split stay at 2 different resorts, we had booked using a package, but when we checked into the second resort, I believe they just gave us a new set of KTTW cards and they had our tickets attached.

I would think you shouldn't have a problem as long as you're staying on site both times.

We got our 6 day magic your way and hopper tickets off priceline, wouldn't do it again (whole nother thread), but they linked them to our KTTW cards just fine at the resort desk. With the right computer opperator and password they can do just about anything. Shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks, that's where we bought ours too. I was mostly concerned about the split stay with the 4 days of cruise in the middle. I'll see how it goes next week.

I just called Disney because I had the same question.

We are staying April 13-20th with our first two nights at the swan (yay free nights from starwood american express) and our next five nights at the boardwalk inn. We are purchasing our tickets for 6 days when we arrive at the swan and using two of those days before check in at the boardwalk.

I asked over the phone if I could link my partially used tickets to my key to the world card at the boardwalk and was told no. That's a real bummer because I want to try out the mymagic+ band! Of course, I've heard that the reps on the disney hotline aren't always the most informed. It also may have something to do with my reservation being a rate only available to credentialed travel agents. Not sure.

Yes, you can put pre-purchased tickets onto your WDW room keys. (There are a couple exceptions, but those are mostly Annual/Seasonal Passes and Florida Resident tickets.)

Yes, you can do this even if you're already started using the tickets.

You can add days to the tickets, it doesn't matter if it's on the stand-along ticket media or on the room keys and can be before you use them or after you've started using them, just as long as a) it's less than 14 days since their first use, and b) it's before the end of the last day that's currently on the ticket.

You *can* have them put onto your first room key and then transferred onto your second room key, but that might add some extra steps for the CM so you might want to consider just using the tickets on their own for your first two days and only worry about putting them onto your room keys when you get to your second hotel. (This is exactly what we did in November. We were at AKL for 2 nights and then SSR for 7. Tickets were kept on their own at AKL and were then encoded onto the room keys when we got to SSR)

When you check into the resort, you'll get the room keys from the person at the Front Desk, but then you'll have to walk over to the Lobby Concierge desk to get the ticket put onto the key.

Thanks, I think I'll wait until we get to our second resort to add the tickets to our keys. Less hassle and chance for things to go wrong.
