hi all....thought I start another thread as to not get confused with all the other 100's of questions i had.
I thought today was going to be the day i reg. for the TOT 10 miler...but its not, i am waiting on my friend, who is away, she emailed me this morning that she rather wait just before the March deadline (so we still pay 90.00).
My question is, should I be worried about rooms being sold out? If i wait till mid March to register/book?
and do I need to book through the run disney site??

any info you can share will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

You shouldn't have to worry about rooms being sold out. You can book the room anytime. Typically, the discount codes that float around are a better discount than the ones they issue to the runners.

Make sure you stay at a host resort. We learned the hard way it is a pain in the butt getting back to a non-host resort after a night race (Everest Challenge).

Oh I will def. be staying at a host resort, thank you for your input!!!!

I agree. Wait for a discount then book a room at one of the host resorts.

;) thank you.
i was thinking of booking the room soon anyway, this way i can have a hold on it, and i am sure if a discount comes out i can apply it, right?

Yes, you can apply a discount after the fact. May as well hold a room. Some people say that if everyone held a room in the hopes of a discount, Disney would see that they have a high demand and not issue a discount, but I'm always too afraid to wait so I book the room as soon as I think I want it, and if any discounts are released afterwards, I apply them.

I was looking into staying at the Animal Kingdom Villas for the ToT 10-Miler. Is it really that difficult to get back to the room after a night race, even if I set up a cab or the like before I leave?

If you plan ahead and have the number of cab company, then not really. It may just take 10-20 mins for one to show up, depending on demand. Which is admittedly no worse than the buses. But if aren't going to be leaving the party til 3am or so, keep in mind that you would be waiting around for one to show up.
