Does anyone know why GE pulled completely out of Disney?? I know they DID sponsor CoP and Horizons. Did something go sour between them and Disney?

They are not sponsoring Illuminations anymore? I didn´t know that! It must be weird (at least for me) not hearing "G.E. , we bring good things to life" anymore!

No, GE still sponsors Illuminations... Unless something has changed in two weeks.
I'm not sure about Horizons and CoP... I don't know what the deal is there.

A funny thing I've found is this: Disney owns the ABC television network, and GE owns the NBC television network. So, when GE was sponsoring Disney, it was almost as if they were sponsoring ABC. Likewise, when Disney was being sponsored by GE, it was almost as if they were being sponsored by NBC.

Weird!, huh?:brick:

GOOD NEWS! :xmas:

I assure you the relationship between Disney and GE is still very much alive and well!

:sohappy:

As any corpoartion in today's tough economic climate must do, opportunities to spend shareholders money must be constantly re-evaluated in terms of their return on investment.

Illuminations is by far a bigger "BANG" for the buck (HAHA!) than the other attractions on the public side. (ex. At least that is open and seen by thousands EVERY night!)

In addition, beyond that, the supply relationship (lightbulbs, alarm clocks, radios, etc....) is still very lucrative and prosperous to both operations!
