Question about Fantasmic

You have to see it just once if not for the "dragon" and the white boat at the end w/ all of the characters.
I always skip to the sorcerer Mickey part in Fantasia. That's about the only thing similar to it.;)

One Little Spark...
We have been watching Disney movies in preparation for our trip and this week we watched the classic Fantasia and we found it....well...BORING! I know that is probably Disney blasphemy to some of you and I am so so sorry! Any way my question is even though we were not a fan of the movie do you think we will still enjoy Fantasmic? Any others who didnt like the movie but loved the show?

This may have been said before, but the Fantasmic show has pretty much nothing to do with Fantasia.

I cry too!

It's good to know there are others... lol. Why do you suppose we have that reaction? For me, it's not the actual show or Mickey winning against the villian. I think I just get a tad overwhelmed in Disney. Either way, they are not sad tears, and, as goofy as it sounds, I can't help it. My husband snickers at me all the time about it.

I blame it on the magic. I cry when tink flies out of the castle, I cry when my son who has a chipped tooth is chosen to be chip in enchanted tales with belle, I cry at the mk opening ceremony, I cry when my daughter gets done up at the bbb.... just seeing all the magic that is put into everything just so people can have these experiences chokes me up everytime.

As other have stated, Fantasmic and Fantasia are not related. They both share Sorcerer Mickey and a few brief brief scenes on the water screens but that is it.

I loved both - I am a huge fan of the Fantasia music - however, I do agree with everyone else - they are nothing alike. I think you'll enjoy Fantasmic - it is worth seeing at least once so you'll know.

It's the short film clips being shown on the water curtains, it's the enormous amount of characters in the production, its all the extra effects, it's the story, it's the memories thats recalled from when you were younger, it's all Great Disney pulled together in one place. And it's all there for YOU.
