I know this has nothing to do with WDW, but I was just watching the new
Remember Dreams Can Come True Fireworks Show in Disnyland, and I was wondering How Tinkerbell Flys....

If anyone can help me that would be great, because I think that WDW need to do that Durning wishes....

Any help would be great

She flys out of the Matterhorn, aided by a cutsom computer controlled chassis and pulley system, attached to a tower on the ewst side of the park. I believe the tower was designed to lower during the day, and raise to full height under darkness. The chassis is like a platform that runs back and forth on the main cables between the tower at Matterhorn. From this is the cable to Tink that can raise or lower her.

Since WDW has no Matterhorn, and SM is way to far out, I doubt we`ll see this in Orlando.

Tinkerbell at DL has to be the bravest person in the world. She is flying back and forth with the fireworks exploding all around her.

Tink's flying rig at Disneyland is based on the cable-suspended cameras they use at NFL games. The camera can fly in three dimensions and lower and raise. Essentially they just removed the camera from the rig and replaced it with a person, and the movement is limited to two dimensions (left-right, up-down) because the end points are stationary and cannot travel longitudinally (sp?) like they can at the football stadiums. :-)

Part of the problem of bringing it to the Magic Kingdom is that the two suspension points at Disneyland are higher than the castle. The MK does not have a setup like this. The castle *is* the tallest thing in the park. (Or at least anywhere in that area of the park) Also, in Disneyland Tink technically flies *behind* the Castle. Her lines do not go directly over the castle.

Duh...Pixie Dust.

Seriously, your post clicked switch in my brain. Does any one know what the chances are of getting a float with Tink on it at WDW, like the one in DL? I heard they are updating the Share a Dream Parade for October, any chance she'll be in that?

Pixie Dust? Nah, they just have a few burly guys chuck her out of the castle.

Just kidding, though that would be pretty funny.
