Question about Disney dining plan

I was able to upgrade my room only reservation to the play stay and dine package. I was booked in pop century so it comes with quick service meal. Is it worth it to upgrade to the regular Disney plan or just keep the quick service? I forgot to say I will have annual passes and I only had to buy 2 day park tickets to get the deal. I was going to apply the ticket amount to my future AP renewal. Also this is during spring break mar 8-14. Thanks!

Depends on if your group was planning on doing many sit down meals. If you like to have a few character meals or sit downs, then yes. If you werent planning on doing those anyway and just planned on grabbing something from a quick service place while on the go/only planned on 1 or 2 TS meals then it might not be worth it.

It is not the answer you want to hear, but you need to do the math to see if it will work for you.

The DDP has not been an easy yes or no question for a number of years. You will need to take a look at your dining plans and compare the out of pocket cost to the upgrade price.

General rule of thumb is if you plan on doing a lot of character dining then the DDP can be a value. It is really hard to make the numbers work in your favor with regular table service dining.

We had just planned on sharing meals before I got the quick service plan do maybe I will keep it as is. It’s just me and the kids no hubby. I kind of like the idea of no plan ahead sit down meals so we can do more spur of the moment stuff.

To echo others, you honestly just need to do the math. When we booked our trip I booked it without dining, but I'm calling later today to add it on. We were there about a year ago, so based on experience, and my husband and I actually calculating everything, it's worth it for us.

The time you are going will be busy, and the lines long for the quick service. Even using mobile ordering, it will still be interesting to find a place to sit. However, if you have reservations, you won't have to worry about any of that. Not sure which is more important to you. We upgrade the DP if we stay value, but my kids love the restaurants and feel that is part of the trip. Plus, my kids like to know they will have an undisturbed place to sit in air conditioning to decompress each day. They look forward to it. They might be weird, lol.

Well I think I am going to upgrade now I found out artist point with have the evil queen, Snow White and the seven dwarves for the price fix dinner. For the price it’s cheaper for me to upgrade my plan and I was also able to book BOG for dinner too.
