Question about Crystal Palace breakfast

Hi folks,
I've been a long time lurker on here and had a question for the WDW experts. My DH and I are going to the World in about a month and have a 8:05 breakfast reservation at Crystal Palace. We were excited to get into the MK before it opens and get some crowd free (or minimal crowd :)) pics of Main Street and the castle. My question is what is the earliest time that they will let you into the MK before a reservation? I know they recommend you get there early but what would be a good time to be there? Thanks for your help!

we've gone in about 30 minutes before our reservation. They want you there at least 15 minutes early. The extra time does allow for some great photo ops..we always do some with the castle in the background and some with the trainstation in the background as well as around the hub with the statue.

I know you can get in at least 30 minutes early, you may even be able to push that to an hour, but that would really be pushing it. I just know that the sooner you get there the better, because there's always the possibility they will be able to seat you in advance of your reservation.

Normally your right, they will try and seat you if you get there early, but if she has the 8:05 reservation they won't seat her early because it is the first seating of the day. If she gets to the park early they will let her wander around a bit, and they will seat her right when they open.

Ok, I thought Crystal Palace breakfasts started at around 7 or so.

For my birthday vacation I am thinking about booking an 8:05 a.m. > breakfast at either Crystal Palace or the Castle or both on a day that the Magic Kingdom does not have early extra magic hours. Because it's fun to get into the park an hour before it opens. The reason I want to do it on a day that does not have early extra magic hours it because on a day that has early extra magic hours I can get in an hour early anyway. So I would want to do it on a day that they only way that I can get in an hour early is by having a breakfast in the Magic Kingdom booked at 8:05 a.m. >

When the park opens at 9 the first seating is 8:05 (that might change for holidays and crush times, the CP might open even earlier, but the 8/9 split is true most days of the year.) I'm not sure how Magic Hours affects this. The CP may stick to its normal schedule or it may bump up an hour. I don't know, but on regular days the CP opens an hour before the park, and they start letting guests with ADR's in about a half an hour before that.

We were able to get some great pics on Main Street when we were there in September. We had a 8:30 ressie and they let us in around 8:05. I was excited to be in the park before the opening at 9AM, thinking we could avoid the big rush of people waiting at the main gate, HOWEVER, the only thing I forgot is that they let people into the park, onto MainStreet, around 8:50 :brick:

It worked out fine, but it's just something to remember!
