Question about Candlelight Procession Dine Package

I wanted to pose this question on here before I called WDW-DINE to confirm. I was looking over the News and Updates section and read through the Candlelight Procession posts and saw the part about the Candlelight Procession Dine Package.

I have a ADR for Le Cellier at 2 and got reserved seating for thr 5pm Procession and was told that the reserved seating was free, all I was paying for was the dinner. They just had to change my 1pm reservation to the 2pm so it could be booked as part of the package. But reading this post about it on here, it makes it look like you have to pay for the dinner and the seating together... is this true? I've never done it before so can someone please ellaborate?! :veryconfu

By buying the dinner package you will get a pass to be in the package line that gets in first.
Once in, you sit wherever.

Without that pass you would have to be in the 'stand by' line for general park guests and maybe not get in.

Well the CM told me that I will be getting my pass at the restaurant since I've booked with the dine package. My question is am I still just paying for my dinner at Le Cellier or am I also paying for the Reserved Seating for the Candlelight Procession? I was told by the CM I booked with that I'm just paying for dinner...but Steve's update makes it look like I'm paying for dinner and my reserved seating...

For comparison, it's just like booking the Fantasmic dinner at MGM where you are guanteed to get in and have a seat.

The dinner package is a set price for the restaurant. So while you are not paying for the seat, you will be paying a bit more if you just went to the restaurant and order a main course and soft drink.

What it comes down to I think is that you are paying for a full dinner (or lunch) and the priority seating pass comes with it as part of the package.
You are paying for the dinner/lunch at a fixed price.

We have 2:10 dining reservations for the 5 pm performance.

Here's what you should really worry about-

What's the weather going to be like? Let's hope it doesn't rain.

Shopingnut is correct. You have a set price for dinner and with that set price you get the reserved seating for the CP. It can be slightly more than paying menu price but the reserved seating is well worth it and in may cases absolutely necessary to get a seat for the CP.

Oh yeah. A half dozen pretzal bread sticks from LeCellier along with a large Spaten Optimater from Germany. Then sit and relax watching the CP. Now that is living like a :king:.

Even those with the package seating passes start linning up well before the show to get the "best seats" (closer to stage, center, not behind a tree!, etc) So once you have finished your meal at least head in that direction and see if the line has started forming. As long as one or two people in you party stay in the line, other s can mill about or sit on a bench, etc.

IMHO Getting the package is still the best way to go.

Also if you do not get there before they let stand by in you may not have a seat. Just because you have a package does not mean you will have a seat. We like to get to the line at least 30 minutes early and we end up with good seats.

Definately get the package. The show is absolutely stunning and make sure you see Illuminations with the holiday tag. The tag really kicks Illuminations up a notch if not 2.

depending on when you go to see the show. get there early if you want to seat in a good seat. i have been there about 45 minutes before the show just to get in line. it is a great show.

RE: Candlelight

We had the same reservations last year, Lecellier 2pm and 5pm show.
We lined up 40 minutes before the show. We had choice of any seat. We sat in the second row, first row was to close. Good thing, as it poured and only some of the seats are under cover. It was a nice show, John Hurley was good! Have fun. Le Cellier was very good.:drevil:

Good point! Only the front sections of the AG theatre are covered, so it's best to line up early and get a seat under the roof. Plus - the show is better when you have a good view of the narrator. Enjoy!

Question for PhilharMagician or anyone who knows the answer-
What is the "holiday tag" viewing for Illuminations you were referring to? I've never heard of this........

The "Holiday Tag" is an addition to the end of Illuminations. It consists of holiday music with hundreds of fireworks that lasts about 10 minutes. It is really a great addition to Illuminations and is a must see if you are there. :wave:
