Question about Booking a Reservation

Hi. We are visiting the first time in June 2026. My son is 17. When I go to the DLP website, I input his birthdate in and it keeps defaulting him to a 3-11 ticket. We were possibly going to get a dining plan and I noticed that they default him to a 3-11 plan. Is this normal or a flaw on the website?

I just did a random run through on the website with a child born in 2009.

It showed both adult and child prices at each step of the dining add-on, but for 3 nights it added around £340 to the cost which matched my estimate for 2 adult plans (£57 per person per night).

I’d do a rough calculation and see if it did the same for you.

Ok, it's just confusing. He was born in zjuky 2008. Why don't they just refer to him as an adult like the US does? I see what you say about the meals. However. they have him as a 3-11 ticket on the one screen.

That doesn’t look right, I agree.

At some point when I did my fake booking I could check the date of birth of the child. Can you do that if you “view details” of the room?

Also, what website are you using?

I am on the official DLP website. I checked his birthdate and it is correct.

Someone else please correct me but I don't think anything bad would happen if you just but your 17 year old down as a 3rd adult? As you say for all intents and purposes he is treated as an adult from a cost perspective?

Alternatively you are able to add a Meal Plan on after you have purchased your hotel package.

Question! Am staying at Hotel NY Art of Marvel in June and can't get one single reservation for Downtown Restaurant any date in the next two months OR one of my dates in June. Called and was told they had same availability as in app. Is there any way to get my hands on a reservation and is it really fully booked every single day?

I found this email address on a Reddit post suggesting they may be able to help DLP.NWY.GUEST.RELATIONS@disney.com

I would say however that it could be too late. I'm visiting in June and when I booked last year the restaurant was already fully booked however about a month ago lots of availability appeared which could have been any reservations they were holding back? Just a guess.

Guests with hotel bookings can book 12 months out and it’s possibly still the most popular restaurant on property. I’ve done it a few times and whilst it’s very very nice I don’t think it’s the best thing ever nor is the location the nicest (lack of daylight for a start). The hype is a part of it now.

Keep trying and if all else fails have a word at concierge when you check in. They often have a few up their sleeve for HNY guests.

I know that you don't always want to be looking at your phone when you're away, but we did get a table for Pym's the same day although it had been fully booked 3+ months beforehand every time we looked. No harm in checking if you're in a long line same day just in case :)
