Quality of available merchandise significantly reduced?

I can tell that you are very bright, because you stay at port orleans riverside.. THE BEST PLACE TO STAY AT DISNEY... that isnt on the monorail loop and you have to sell a kidney.... :)

Perhaps someone has been reading my posts here and on twitter. I was astounded to find this polo and 1/4 zip on our first night at the end of last month. There was a windbreaker jacket with a small D on the front and Walt Disney World on the back, and a dress shirt with a small Walt Disney World logo.

For gents I just think that stuff sells, and wears, so much better with a subtle classy look. Hopefully more of the same to come. Park and ride merch like this would do well too.

There was a good range of Port Orleans Riverside merch again, and another polo shirt picked up.

I have to say, while perhaps not what I would wear, there are some smart t-shirt deaigns currently.

There was more home stuff than I have seen previously, but still a lack of office and stationery products. You can't buy any nice pens now, for example.
That cheap screen print is going to come off the first or second time it's washed. They used to be embroidered.

One exception I noticed - tower of terror gift shop has some excellent unique merchandise. Sure there is some nightmare merch in the store too - but there is some really well done attraction specific merch.

Including several designs that don’t say “Disney” or “tower of terror” on them - they are much more obscure references that I absolutely love.

I think the complaint there is it’s much more homogenized than it used to be

And yet ToT gift shop used to be even better than what's there now. Ive found Memento Mori in MK to have more attraction specific items than most shops.

I live in oklahoma, so I dont go often enough for dvc. And I could afford the poly or contemp but my inner voice wont let me spend that much for a place to sleep. Riverside is amazing esp with the boat that takes you to springs.
Oh I can’t fault you there…

And to be clear…I would never advocate paying the price in the last decade for dvc…At least. Way outkicked the sense in it. But it was a great deal…past tense intentional 😎

I do love port Orleans…by the way. So much I still lazily call it by its old name.
