Hey everybody

I have an AP, but did free dining last year and had to buy 1 day pass. Does anyone know if I can apply my one day pass toward my AP if I need to renew over the phone? My next trip to WDW isn't until 4/18 and my AP expires 3/3 so I can't do it in person. I tried to do a search and didn't see anything so if anyone has any insight please let me know! Thanks!

As far as I know you need to do it in person at guest services. You can however renew your AP well after it expires.

JerseySkiddie - Although the passholder website says you can renew your AP 30 days after expiration, I bet they'll go ahead and do it for you a little late.

Master Yoda - Sounds like you've had some experience with this - am I right? How far out from the expiration date did you renew?

I dont remember it being a huge discount to renew..

I was able to do it at 8 weeks with no issues.

We have been getting the play 3 days passes so we can go durring the summer, and converting them at the end of 6 months to Seasonal AP.

we always had to do it at the windows :)

As long as the 1 day was bought (like yours) and not a comp. ticket, the value can be applied towards the AP. However, it must be done in person. I assume this is so they can scan the ticket to verify that it is unused.

As for renewing your AP beyond the 30 day window, I'm sure Disney would do it, but why would you want to? At some point the discount you get for renewing is out weighed by the days you are going to lose on the pass. You may just be better off buying a new pass and activating it on 4/18.

I'll just bring you with me to the window, Julie, so you can give 'em hell if they don't renew a couple weeks past the time, that sounds like it would do the trick hehe

30 days is the official number but I have had them offer to renew my AP's as far out as 90 days +.

Master Yoda...what kind of AP do you guys have? We have seasonals. I'm going to have to check and see if they have a renewal discount on those, too.

We have the seasonals as well. The discount is not much (just under $30). Once you go past 60 days it is better to buy another full price seasonal AP at full price and get the 60 days+ back.
