We never put a budget on our trips home. We decided what we want to do the next year and make it happen. We have our trip planned for next year already and will have it booked before we check out. Already gave our travel agent the info. When we get income tax in February we will book flights and pay off our package then we have 9 mouths to save our spending.

That is a good question... I definitely can't commit to a last trip . Just too sad to even think about! But if I was doing a special I would do a deluxe for a week and upgrade to Deluxe dining. And take a couple of tours for sure.

I bet it would be an 8k trip or so + spending. I would do that but not with our kids since with them they only care about being in the parks so food/nice hotel is a waste in them!

If it reached the cost level where we could travel to Europe for a nearly equal amount of time (and stay at decent hotels) then I would probably switch to thinking about Europe instead. But because airfare to Europe is so much more expensive than flying to Orlando, right now it kept an 8-night WDW vacation at about the same price as a moderately priced but much shorter trip to Europe. At least by my ballpark way of calculating.

As excited as I am about going to WDW, if I could choose, say, 8 nights in Venice and Rome for the same money I'd go with that. But (without having factored food into the equation at all) our WDW vacation is costing us only about $1500 more than just the airfare to Europe.

Of course, there were other factors involved, such as not wanting to endure an overseas flight with DS4 for example, and not wanting to deal with the effect of the time change on DS4 (been there, done that - we'll wait another year or two!).
