On a side note, has anybody noticed that the new bands are thinner and a bit flimsy.

Yes, but I think they are more comfortable than the old ones which were stiff and unforgiving.

Oh man!! My daughter's favorite color is purple. She would have been so excited to get a purple band instead of pink.

Oh well! If the color of her MagicBand causes her to have a bad trip, then I guess I've failed as a parent. LOL

They were all like that (green, orange, and purple). We never had any issues with the comfort level of the old one but we are looking forward to trying the new ones.

Awesome. I didn't find the old ones particularly uncomfortable, either. But my last trip I had the option of using my complementary bands (old version) and the purple HM band I had just bought (new version), and the difference was night and day. I'd ordered an orange band initially to go with my MNSSHP costume, but I ended up wearing the HM band the whole time anyway
