PTR -- Party of ten, please!!

Six days out from our arrival in the World, and I am completely bouncing off the walls. We are a group of ten -- myself, DH, DD4, DS2; my mom and dad; my in-laws; my aunt and uncle. We are staying at the Polynesian Jan 10 -15, and there are two main focus (foci?) of our trip: running and the kids.

My DH is running the Full Marathon Jan 13. He has done one other full (VA Beach, March 2012) and a number of halfs (including Wine & Dine in 2011). I am running the 5K Jan 11, as are my in-laws (well, they'll be walking). DD4 and DS2 are running the kids' races on Jan 10 (arrival day). This is also the kids' first trip to WDW, so aside from the running.....it's all about them.

Jan 10 dinner: 'Ohana, party of ten​

Jan 11 breakfast: Akershus Princess Breakfast, party of ten​

Jan 11 lunch: Rose and Crown, party of six (our family of four + the in-laws)​

Jan 11 dinner: Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic! package, party of eight (our family of four + my parents + the inlaws)​

Jan 12 breakfast: Kona Cafe, party of ten​

Jan 12 lunch: Be our Guest (pleeeeeeease let me be able to get in there!!), party of eight (our family of four + my parents + my aunt/my uncle​

otherwise, we will get some QS in the MK​

Jan 12 dinner: Garden Grill, party of six (our family of four + my parents)​

Jan 13 breakfast: Grand Floridian Cafe, party of nine (DH is marathoning that morning)​

Jan 13 lunch: no reservation, QS in Animal Kingdom​

Jan 13 dinner: Chef Mickey's, party of eight (our family of four + my parents + my aunt/my uncle)​

Jan 14 breakfast: Crystal Palace, party of ten​

Jan 14 lunch: no reservation, QS in MK​

Jan 14 dinner: Narcoossee's, party of ten​

followed by.........................​

Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party, party of ten!!!​

(DH turns 40 the end of January, and the Dessert Party is a surprise for him.)​

Good luck getting in to Be Our Guest... we saw plenty of people walking up and getting seating on Christmas Day with only a 30-45 minute wait.... so perhaps things will work out in your favor.

EDIT: Oh, I see you mean lunch. Well, the line was plenty long mid-day... so I dont know about that.

Thanks!! I'm very excited to take my little princess to Akershus for the Princess Breakfast. And, would you believe there are actually three more ADRs than what I listed? Those three are the in-laws' exclusively; I only listed ones that involve our family of four + whomever.

LOL that would be awful if he peeked. My screen name here is the same as another forum we frequent. He'd definitely recognize "Witchy Chick" as me. D'oh!!!

I've been trying to brainstorm how to get DH (and others) to NOT eat dessert at Narcoossee's and to get everyone moving over to MK in time for the Dessert Party. I decided to make up a certificate for DH, wishing him a happy 40th and informing him that he's immediately headed over for the Dessert Party. I'll put that in a birthday card and give it to him after we finish our entrees.

Well I WAS at the Polynesian, but switched to the Grand Floridian when the room discounts came out...no discounted rooms at the Poly. We'll get there someday though!...and staying at the Grand Floridian ain't so bad.

Just saw your report! Yay! 1 day till we both leave!! I will be worthless today at work. We are having breakfast at Kona after we run the half on Saturday. Ours isn't till 9:45 though. Have a great trip!

To all looking to do lunch at BoG, it should not be a problem. We where there the right after Thanksgiving thru the 1st week of December and were able to get in no problem. Just go earlier rather than later in the day. Please remember it is QS until 3:30 and then they convert over to TS for dinner. Go and begin lining up for lunch like right around 11 and it should not be an issue what so ever. And oh by thw way, it was awesome. If you wnat to try and get in for Dinner good luck, When we were there they were turning many people away becuase unless someone cancels they were not going to get in and from what I seeing/getting an impression very few people were cancelling.
