Count me in as one who doesn't believe in Psychics. Never been to one and will never go to one....

Honestly, I do believe that some people have a "gift" of seeing things that others don't, but I don't believe that there are people out there who right when they first meet you can tell you everything about yourself and things that will happen. Just makes no sense- I mean, if they can see so well into the future- how come I have never heard of a psychic winning the lottery or making alot of money betting on horse races or anything like that?

The way I see it...everyone has the ability, people have just forgotten and/or society blocks this out unintentionally or not, when a child is first born (via conditioning)...it's not really a 'gift'...and those who really say they are gifted are probably not...

There are many different type of "psychic abilities"...all of which could be looked at as an added sense, like sight, sound, touch, smell, taste...and like with all the other senses some people use this added sense better and others not so good...

I think real "psychics" don't win the lotto, because they really can't get that information, and/or don't care for it...I think that's like saying why didn't Jesus Christ takeover the world if he was the son of God....that was not his purpose in life...

I've experienced MANY things that I haven't been able to explain, so I am really open to the possibility that someone walking down the street can see me and know me in a second.

(btw never thought I'd see this discussion here...loving it)

:D

Look at it from this perspective: If the person really does have the ability to "see" things, they may not have the ability to control what they see. They may not be able to "see" things for themselves. They may only have the talent to "see" for others, and then only in their presence. Remember, if it is a gift, it should not be abused since it could be taken away just as it was given. I say this becuase someone that truly had that gift would likely understand the consequences of their actions. To use it for personal gain such as winning the lottery would be wrong and there would be a backlash to them.
