PS for California Grill, Ohona, and Boma???

Well I made a PS for Cinderella's Royal Table (It will be my first time) and to the Rose & Crown for the Illuminations seating but I really dont know if I should make a PS for the California Grill this early.

I only made my PS for the Rose & Crown because its a tradition to go the first night, and Royal Table, because I was told it had to be done early. But do I "really" need then for the California Grill? We would rather wait until the night before but I could use some help.

Also I have the same question about Boma and Ohona?

PS for California Grill

We are going September 14-21 and we already made our PS arrangements for California Grill. We didn't even get our first choice of times. I always side on being safe than sorry. PS arrangements can always be cancelled with no advanced warning except in case of a few restaurants like Citricos which took a CC# and a 24 hour minimum cancellation notice. Otherwise there is no penalty for making the reservation other than maybe doing a little planning before hand. Hope that helps.....

If you are set on a specific time that you want to go to California Grill you need to make your reservations ASAP. The PS during firework times go very fast so be sure to call soon to have a better chance of getting there when you wanted to.

Oh ok, good point. I will try to make the PS for a fireworks time.

Thanks for the help!

You're welcome! I hope you are able to book during the fireworks time, I called too late to make it then, but the dinner was absolutely the best.

California Grill also has the 24 hour cancellation policy

Just FYI, CG also has the credit card guarantee and 24 hour change/cancellation policy (as does Citricos and Chefs de France) or there's a $10 per person charge. Although we have a large group so maybe that's just a group dining feature. I would inquire just to be on the safe side when you're making your CG reservation just so you know how long prior you have to cancel/change should you need to.

Have fun!

I would always make PS's for any dinner reservation. Always safe to be sure you'll get in around the times you want to eat.

I will add about getting fireworks times though. We did this at Rose and Crown last year. Even told them that we'd wait for a table outside, and we even made our PS at an early time to give time for waiting.

Wasn't gonna happen. They're were people who had been there at least an hour before us, had finnished dinner, drinks and deserts, and were not going to leave. They wanted an outside seat for Illuminations. Mid you, our PS was at about 7:30 PM.

So, if you get an outside seat, great, but don't think you are gonna get one. I tried everything including begging, it was either eat inside, or not at all for us. People will not give up those seats unless Disney kickes them out.

My mom cancelled out California Grill PS this morning (it was for tonight). To the best of my knowledge there was no credit card involved or cancellation charge. We went up and looked at the menu last night and I was the only one that was happy with it. The restaurant was very busy so I would make the PS just in case.

As for O'Hana, we got a PS in the afternoon for that night BUT we went right when they opened. Last night we went by there around 6:30 and there was a huge crowd of people waiting to be seated. So if you want to go to O'Hana (and it is worth it, so go) I would suggest getting the PS as soon as you know when you want to go.

Oh, I am sorry to hear that. I have done the final seating at Rose and Crown before and we loved it. We did arrive about an hour before the time to check in and then we told the hostess that we wanted a table on the water outside, and she gave us one of the best tables outside. We had the best view and loved every minute of it. Also, our PS was the last time avaible (around 8:30pm).

I cant wait to go, I still have to ask my parents if they called to get the CG. I really hope they did!!!

I'm not saying you can't do it, just warning that you may not be able to get that good fireworks seat, cos' the other 200+ people have the same idea as you on any given night as well.
