I am scheduled to arrive early Friday afternoon. I am driving uo from Miami, and I have not decided yet whether to cancel or go.

But if I have to ride out a hurricane somewhere, I can't think of a better place. Of course, I would rather not ride out a hurricane at all.

My reservations are at the Ft. Wilderness cabins, so any information on that would be appreciated.

Thanks, Ricky

I just noticed my signature is wrong, we are actually arriving September 3, I cheated myself one day. :hammer:

All IHG Hotels in Orlando are sold out at this point for Saturday, and most for Friday.

I'm gonna love my Comp Room.
We'll have to split the case of water. Looks like youre gonna be having fun on I-Drive.

Ah, why would Pop Century be the safest though? Wouldn't Wilderness Lodge be safer cause it is sized much bigger? I'm not saying that I don't believe you or anything, I was just wondering from a construction standpoint what makes Pop Century better???

Well, Dave, at least you have a room... though, I agree- I'd rather be in Pop Century or All Stars, too...

As for Fort Wilderness, I went there the day after Charley to check it out... There were a few trees down, but it wasn't that bad... There was debris EVERYWHERE.. (sadly, Disney has let Ft Wilderness go.. so, it was tough to see what was caused by Charley, and what was an effect of Disney not mantaining it)... There was NOBODY there... the entire time I was there, I didn't see anyone who didn't work there... It was actually kinda creepy...

If you live in Florida, one of the best places to go is a good hotel (I saw one motel that had the entire middle caved in... So, a Disney hotel is probably recommended)...

Thanks mkt, I was happily munching away on some Salt & Vinegar (err) Chips, and you made me laugh and now the back of my nose is burning up where the chip went the wrong way.
