Professional Guide/Escort

My cousin is taking her three kids (all under 10) to Disney World for the first time this December. I am helping her plan her trip but what she would really like is a second adult along who can help her with remembering to take pictures and knows Disney World very well to help guide her along.

I seem to remember reading one time about a company in the Orlando area that you could hire personal guides by the day, but I cannot seem to find them now. Any one heard of such a company?

No. Not that kind of guide. I beleive it was a company where they came along and took pictures of your trip with you. They also knew the park well enough that they could show you where things are, maybe advise on lines, stuff like that. Not a historical tour of the park.

I don't understand why wouldn't Disney let you bring them along. Because they are pretty much just being hired help. You know what I mean? It's like bring a disney sauve nanny or something. You know what I mean? Thats silly!

This could be my dream job; getting paid to take folks around WDW! I already do that for family and friends and it cost me money. Hmmmm..... :D

I think Disney does. Not really a "nanny" but they do have professional "au pear" (no idea how it's spelled) services they can refer you to - the Disney alternative being VIP tour guides paid by the hour (VIP tour guides can pick you up at your resort, and do pretty much anything).

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought that someone had misposted and had meant to post in the risque forum! ..."escort" for the parks...

But, all kidding aside...let me know where I should meet you and we'll get started ASAP. I'll bring the camera! Oh, and I'd prefer Grand Floridian concierge, please. Thanks. :drevil:

I've used a service like this on two occasions. An au pair with intimate knowledge of the parks, its innerworkings, and ride age-appropriateness. In a word, she was wonderful. Took pictures of us, as a family, got us on the most rides an attractions possible, waited in counter-service lines and character lines for us.

LOL- this is what I do when I have clients in town! (I'm DOS @ a non-disney hotel) Never thought about doing it for anyone else. Good idea, but I wouldn't want that job! It really isn't as much fun as it sounds. While the guest gets to go on rides you are out running to get FP's and waiting in lines.

I would contact DISNEY for this service....I've seen concierge walk guests around countless times...seating them and returning to pick them up...ect. I would assume it's pretty costly though but i'm sure worth it.
