Problem with online check in?

Ok so I was looking around on the disney website and I had a question about online checkin so I went into a chat with a rep and I told her that my trip was in 61 days. I asked her when i could do online checkin and if my travel agent had to do it because I would rather do it myself. She told me that I could begin doing it tomorrow and to just tell my travel agent I was going to do it myself. Then she told me to hold on bc she had an update about online check in. She then told me that Online check in was being worked on and she could not give me a date when it would be back up. She told me to check back in a few weeks. Has anyone else heard this?

The idea of online check in being down for a few weeks sounds a little far fetched. Days maybe, but not weeks. Of course give the state of WDW website, anything could be possible. I would just give it a try once you hit your 60 day mark. If you can't get it done wait a few days and try again. It is by no means a catastrophe if you can't get it to work. All online check in does is save you a little time checking into the resort and even that can be hit or miss.

Yea it sounded odd to me. I was just excited because we were hitting that 60 day mark lol.

No harm in trying to do it. Maybe the person you were chatting with goofed somehow, or maybe the issue was or can be fixed faster than expected.

I just checked my reservation for this Friday. Thought I already checked-in online last week, it's letting me go back into the online check-in pages to make changes.

Once you check in on line it doesn't stop you from doing it as many times as you want if you need to update anything. It just updates everything for you. It does not lock you out after you do it.

I know. I was just letting OP know that online check-in was running because I was able to get in to make changes.

Whoa, did I miss something? I thought that on-line check in was set at 10 days prior to arrival? They changed it, or am I missing something here?

I didn't hear about it, either. I noticed it when I logged in on the disney website and saw the countdown to check in was alot shorter than the 10-day prior to arrival. Also, it was briefly discussed in the thread about observations and experiences with the new website roll out.

Oh snap! Cool beans, but why was it changed?
The latest theory is that the Illuminati, in league with the reverse vampires did it to facilitate arrival of the alien overlords from Zanture 7.

In reality it probably has something to do with a feature for NextGen.:D

Ok. So it says Online Check In available on my Disney experience. But I keep getting an error page. I'm gonna see if I need to pay the whole trip off thru my travel agent first before I can do online check in. I'll have that done this week.

I have my balance paid off and can't check in either, I get to the cc info and it says they can not verify the number. What a pain. I got a number from my TA today so I will call it later and see what they say.
