Thanks for all the responses and sorry it took so long for me to post a reply, real life got in the way of me getting back on here (hate when that happens!)
I have no idea what a photo cell gate is so I couldn't answer the question about that. This was my first time ever using the GAC so it was pretty confusing about exactly how you go about using it. I asked the CM that was in front of the attractions where to go, but seems like CM's that were actually in the attractions would tell me something completely different than what I was told outside...just seems like it's a pretty confusing way of doing things, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it sooner or later...the first few times I ever went to WDW I was totally lost and confused...lol
Like I said, I didn't mind if it took even longer to get on, I just wanted to sit as my back was killing me. I don't use a wheelchair, I have a cane I use as needed and I had left it in my car, guess I should just take it in with me at Disney as it's pretty much a given that my back will act up there. Just looking at me you wouldn't know that I have a problem with standing/walking (unless you saw my scars)
It was VERY noisy at the entrance to the safari, people pushing and shoving, the main thing that got to me was that the CM just started yelling "no gate, no gate, no gate"!!! over and over again. I said that I had to sit down because of my back and that's why I went through that entrance was to sit on the bench. She said, "you can't go through there and you'll only have to stand for 20 - 30 mins. anyway"...THAT's what kinda ticked me off.
