Probably a silly question about my ADRs, but I'll ask it anyway!

At the moment, I'm in no mans land with my trip. Since it was announced that the pool will be closed at WL during our trip, we've been working with our TA about what our options are, and we may well end up switching to Contemporary instead. It's probably a silly question but if we do switch, will it affect my ADRs? I'm assuming that they are just linked to my MDE account rather than the resort reservation but the last thing I want if my existing resort reservation is cancelled, is to wave goodbye to all of my ADRs!

I would imagine this is no different than changing your resort to get a better discount when discounts come out. I've never heard of anyone losing ADR's over it. But good question, I don't really know.

ADR's are booked on a completely separate system than your resort reservation. This is because you can have a reservation and not be staying at a resort. Just make sure you have all of your confirmation numbers written down or saved on a phone when you arrive for each meal.

Yes, do this. And then when you rebook, make sure your ADR conformation numbers carry over, and if they don't, call Disney immediately, let them know you never canceled your meal reservations, only switched rooms, and it'll be on them to set things right.

Thanks everyone.
My ADR confirmation numbers have already been saved, printed out and filed (the control freak in me is helpful for some things occasionally!), so I will have them to hand. It's all getting a bit messy with the dining plan on my reservation (it was free when we booked but now the offer period is over, if I switch resorts as it stands, I would lose it. Apparently, the travel company I booked with is trying to negotiate with Disney to honour the free plans & move them across to any change of resort), so it's kinda stressful at the moment. Last thing I'd need to cap things off is to lose my ADRs too!
