Private Number or Unknown

Recently someone or some organization has been calling my cell phone and I can't block them.
The caller ID displays "Private Number" or other times it displays as : "Unknown".
So when I try my usual method of selecting "block" I am unsuccessful.
My Samsung Android cell phone won't or can't block a number if its software does not know what that number IS.

It seems like there is no solution but I am posting this thread in case anyone has anything to share on this topic.

As of 2:45pm wdwmagic's system says I've had 41 views.
Yet no responders.
I'm not surprised.
I think I am helpless to do anything ( except to let the calls go to voicemail).
