Private Message glitch?

I'm not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but my Private message indicator up in the right hand corner of my screen says I have 3 unread messages, but when I go to my inbox, I don't have ANY unread messages. I don't want 3 people to think I'm totally ignoring them or something. Is there a problem with the indicators not refreshing themselves? Am I just special? Are these 3 messages "Gone with the Wind"?

I wish I could help you, but I have never even recieved a private message, so I don't even know if it works at all!
I do know there was a glitch in the system day before yesterday, I could not get in here at all! :veryconfu

Have you check the sent message box, or the other boxes for selection, I know sometimes the system keeps a copy for you somewhere in the message area .

Go to your private messages and check the boxes to the right of each message. Then scroll to the bottom of the PMs and select "mark as read" from the menu. That should do the trick.

I was also able to delete successfully in the edit folders area!

Actually I've followed all of the suggestions so far and I can't figure it out! All my messages in every folder have been read (according to the icons). Oh well... I guess I could just ignore it and keep checking my inbox every time I log in.

Or you could send a message to the webmaster to check it!

In the top left corner of this page is small box with Forum Search scroll down bar. Select contact and maybe that will help.

I did when I could not access the forums and "magically"(just like disney) I was able to get in!

Now I am going to do it again, because I just tried to access the members photos areas and recieved the same "page cannot be found" message!

I had a fancy smansy reply for post your picture thread and , I could not even get in the back door for my pic.. :veryconfu

edited to say;; Did you Delete them all or do they just show as being read! If that makes sense

Thanks all! I ended up just printing the ones I wanted to keep and deleting all my old ones. That got rid of it!

set up folders to save the PMs you want. You can then move them into the proper folder to be saved & delete the ones you want.

Have you checked your receipts? Sometimes deleting them will clear up the problem. :wave:

Happens to me too, and I have had to do this if there are messages I want to keep.

Yup - I checked all my receipts and I've done that folder jockying as well. Deleting was a last resort, but it worked!
