In October I will be traveling to the house of the mouse with 5 other people, my wife, a couple that will be on thier honeymoon, and 2 other friends. My wife and I had the couple that will be on thier honeymoon come with us on our honeymoon in May 2005 and it was a blast, so we are doing the same with them. What we want to do is make this trip really special by getting priority seating for Illuminations. I am not sure if what we always see is considered priority or not however I want to sit there. There is a few areas around the lagoon that are always roped off and there are nice chairs in there and I see people escorted in that area. Illuminations is thier favorite each time we go and I would love to make it that much better for them. So if anyone knows how you get in the "reserved" area I would be so greatful.

Thanks~~Whizgoofy

I don't know about the other areas that they rope off or reserve but the best place I found was having a meal at the Rose & Crown. I had an 8pm reservation and asked to be seated out on the balcony. They told me they would see what they could do.

My seat was right next to the railing looking out onto the Lagoon. Had my main course and stuff so by the time that Illuminations started I was only waiting for my dessert which they served once it was over. I had a great seat, a fun family at the next table who teased me about being a Patriots fans (they were Colts fans) and a great veiw.

Also since it was a EMH night I was there for the barge blowoff and that sucker blows some heat even from a great distance.

So make an ADR for Rose and Crown. Great spot to eat and watch.

Like the above poster said, the only priority-type seating would be at Rose and Crown but you aren't guaranteed a table with a good view. The other areas are roped off for private functions. Of course, you could pay (out the nose) for your own private function, assuming that it is available for when you are there. Another option would be to pay for an illuminations cruise.

If you attend the Undiscovered Future World tour you will get an invitation to the VIP area in front of Italy. There are various other ways to get admission to the VIP area but it is up to Guest Relations discretion. The area between France and United Kingdom is used for special group events.

There is also the option of a specialty fireworks cruise.

The beer garden outside the Rose and Crown is also a great non-reserved place to watch Illuminations. Just make sure that you're there a while before.
