Royal Rooms are in Buildings 90 & 95 in Oak Manor and Parterre Place. My favorite resorts are both POFQ & Riverside and the Royal Rooms are my favorite rooms by far! They are so beautiful! We were in building 90 Oak Manor and absolutely loved it and the location is great. We were facing the courtyard with the big fountain, just steps away from the bridge that connects close to the main building.

I think I stayed in a Princess room, I didn't make reservation so I don't know??? Over the beds was fiber optic screens with a princess on them....I was in Oak Manor and I just thought all the rooms were like that. ???

BTW I liked staying there and would recommend it. I've stayed at AKL, WL and the Dolphin so I have a good amount of experience.
The fiber optics are fireworks. There is a button on the side of the headboard to make them burst.

Framed pictures of the princesses are on the wall and the bathroom fixtures are gold. Lots of other "Royal" touches as well.

If you stayed in Oak Manor anytime after spring 2012, then yes you were in a Royal room.

We stayed in a Royal Room in May. Our daughter absolutely loved it. I can't tell you how often she was pushing the fireworks button on the beds, she loved that. There's lots of cute Princess details around the room. We were on the backside of the building, facing the parking lot, with a little bit of a walk to the main building & pool, but not a huge deal. I prefer FQ in general, but it was fun to switch it up to Riverside for a trip.

I'm just going to throw this out there. My mom originally booked her trip for Feb. (She had so delay her trip), but when she called to book a room at port Orleans for Feb., the lady told her that it would actually a be $100 cheaper (over her stay) to stay in a royal room instead of a regular room because of some special they were running. I don't know how long the discount was lasting, or if you had to book within a certain period, but it might be something worth calling about before you go to see if they are still offering it.
