We're also looking forward to possibly seeing characters from Atlantis, Kermit, Brer Bear, Fox & Rabbit, Wendy, Malificent, Darkwing Duck, Scrooge McDuck, the other six dwarfs (besides Dopey), March Hare, Mowgli (seen only in 1998), Tarzan, Jane, Mr. Porter, Clayton, Clopin, Quasimodo (seen only in 1997), Princess Atta, Bert (seen only in 1997), bad guys from Mulan, John Smith (seen only in 1997), Shaker, Robin Hood, Maid Marian, Sheriff of Nottingham, Bullseye, Phil, Hades, Rabbit and Roger Rabbit (seen only in 1992). Wow! I didn't realize there were that many that we haven't seen! LOL We have seen 82 different characters on our various trips to WDW, though! :sohappy:

Brer Fox, Maid Marian, Shan-Yu (the bad guiy from Mulan), March Hare, Mowgli, Roger Rabbit, and Hades, to my best knowledge, do not do greets at WDW aymore. Not sure about John Smith, but it's been a very long time since I've seen him out. The Atlantis characters are very rare, as are Scrooge and the other Dwarfs. Clayton and Prof. Porter never appeared at WDW. To my knowledge, the others can all be found in the parks at least occasionally and most often in the busy seasons such as the summer.

We've been to Grand Floridian Breakfast three times (1997, 2000 & 2002) & Cinderella's once (2002) & Peter Pan has never been there. I know that some of the characters change. Hopefully we'll get to meet Peter Pan this year. He's one of the few we've never seen.
The only time I ate at the GF was for dinner. :)

Yeah... I definitely remember getting peter pan at both places now that I think about it.... On our first day, we went to GF for dinner and on our last day there, we saw the same peter at cinderella's.... he was like, "i remember you guys from the other day!.." it was funny.

Peter Pan can be seen at the Magic Kingdom almost every day. He's in Town Square in the morning and in Adventureland in the afternoon.
CamCodey, characters still seem to be in abundance at MGM.

You've got it pretty much right. On top of that, Peter should be found on Saturday's at Epcot's new StoryMagic Experience in innoventions.

Actually, Shan-Yu still comes out for meets...but ONLY when "Cinderella's Surprise Celebration" (the MK castle show) gets cancelled. A lot of the characters that appear in the castle show often come out for meets whenever it gets cancelled.

Last time I was at MK, I saw them both at Town Square when park first opened. They came in with all the characters on the Train and then signed autographs afterwards. Peter Pan is somewhat on the rare side, so chances of finding are much better during the busy seasons like Summer.

Actually, Peter Pan IS NOT rare anymore. He's more of an "every day" character now. The same things go for Wendy.

To the best of my knowledge, Vinny and sometimes Kira occasionally make appearences at MGM at the hat. Kermit is sometimes outside of the Muppetvision 3-D theatre. Brer Fox is the only one I know of that makes appearences, and that is usually at Animal Kingdom Oasis. Wendy should be easy to find. She hangs with Peter at the above mentioned Pan locations. Try for Malificent at MK's Fantasyland Character Festival. Tarzan and Jane are occassionally at Animal Kingdom Oasis. Clopin is sometimes in Town Square at MK. Princess Atta is usually in Animal Kingdom near Pizzafari. Bert is usually with Mary Poppins outside of the Dumbo ride in MK. Shaker and Robin Hood are sometimes in Town Square or in front of the castle. Sheriff of Nottingham might be at Fantasyland Character Festival or around the hat at MGM. And Bullseye might be in Frontierland or at Al's Toy Barn. I say "sometimes" and "usually" because nothing in entertainment is guarenteed and/or the same every day. Your best bet (and I encourage you to do this frequently during your visit) is to have a cast member with access to a phone (in a store or restaurant or guest relations) call the CHIP hotline and find out which of your fav's is where on any given day. Nine times out of ten the CHIP hotline has the correct info. As for the other characters you listed and I did not mention, I have not seen or heard of their presence in the recent past. Good Luck :)

PS Tinkerbell does not do meet and greets, but she does fly in the sky over the castle during Fantasy in the Sky fireworks at MK.

Regarding Tinkerbell - nobody in our family of six (including four autograph collecting daughters!) can remember getting close to Tinkerbell anywhere at WDW - or even Paris. Has anybody been successful with her??

I dont think she does autograph signing. To my knowlege, the only appearance tinkerbell makes is during fantasy in the sky. How would they pull that one off anyway... tink is supposed to be a fairy... you know... fairies aren't usually life sized or anything.

the chip is actually part of the phone number...

btw- CM's aren't supposed to give that info out, so whoever leaked it was going beyond breaking the rules..

Actually, guests have asked me to call the chip hotline for them. It seems pretty common knowledge at the parks that we cast members have a special hotline to call to get them up to the minute info about where the characters are and when on any given day. The actual term "CHIP" may be the only thing guests might not know for sure, but they can even read in the guidebooks about the "special hotline" we have for character info. I have heard many a coord tell a guest to find a CM with access to a phone to call for character info. So as for "going beyond breaking the rules", I don't know......

Peter Pan has always been the "Boy of my Dreams" to my daughter (who is now 8). She adores him and we have never had too much trouble in finding him. The first time she met him she was 4 and he was so thrilled that he was her favourite that he picked her up and carried her around with him and then took us all to meet "his friends" the Princesses - thus bypassing a VERY long queue! At other times, the cast members with him have been fabulous - finding out her name, then going to try to get Peter from backstage, so that when he comes out, he is calling her name "Francesca - are you here??" And on our repeat visits - he has been so quick to catch on to me saying (loudly!!) "Peter - Francesca has met you before" - and playing along so as not to spoil the illusions! Last year Wendy was with him - so Francesca was thrilled! She likes Wendy better than Tinkerbell as Tink can be mean at times! (Actually - I think that she and Tink just have too much in common!) Can't wait for July - first stop - Peter Pan hunt! Have to have that in the rear window before we can tackle anything else!
