Princess and Pirates Party

Both P&P parties were wonderful and we really, really enjoyed both times we went. Crowds were much lower which in the end is what I look for the most.

And there in lies the reason they were discontinued. Not enough interest.
It was basically a MNSSHP event with a singular theme.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed them, and respect your memories.

But this is an issue I am 1000% with Mr. 74 on. I'm as anti-double charging Parties as anyone could possibly be.

I would also have to say the MMM fireworks show was really super great!

However, the rest of the activities were really lame. The parade was OK but not really all that fantastic. (I guess I could be nice and say it was pretty good)

The activities well...

Cpt. Jack Tutorial - same as the one during the day. And the royal guard one not really all that different than Cpt. Jack

Dance Partys - Lets face it, they have them at almost all of the parties. Nothing special about the ones for P&PP

Bands - These are nice but again, they seem to have them at most of the parties. I did like the Rusty Cutlass band.

Princess meet & greet. Well, now that there will be a new Fantasyland with a lot of princess areas with meet & greet why have this party with the 3 areas of princesses?
(Another reason this party is gone?)

And the "Treasure spots" Oh Good Grief Charlie Brown, these were horrible. Especially when they took away the candy and had the plastic jewels and beads Arrggg!

So use the fireworks somewhere but for heaven's sake. DO NOT BRING THIS PARTY BACK

I had a trip in Dec 2009. Lots of photos and could do a trip report if it is still whanted but need help getting photos out of computer and into trip report on this site. (*OK, so I am not the most computer savy guy around. Give me a break, Im 51. My first computer course had the key punch machines to punch holes into the index type cards to tell the computer what to do!)

WOW as crazy as this sounds I was there the same day. My vids are from that party.

I still have the plastic jewels that they gave at the party and the hat. I remember it has a very hot night.

Yes, it was a very hot night. I saw the parade across from the Sleepy Hollow snack place. I watched the MMM fireworks from near the trash can not too far from the tip board and the popcorn / soda vending cart on LHS facing the castle from Main St.

Where were you coruscant? Yea, I got some plastica jewels and several bead necklaces that I gave mostly away to kids I know.

I have to agree with you Mousdad. Even though I whent to 1 of these partys I feel that this was a true double charge for things that mostly are done during the day for free with very little difference. The MMM fireworks show was the saving grace for this party.

Nothing else I feel was anything special or all that great in MHO. So I spent $45 - $50 for fireworks. Not gonna happen again!!
(The parade I felt was short and alot was similar to other parades, some horse drawn carriages like at MVMCP and MNSSHP but those partys are far superior to this canceled mess!!!)

I have the honor of partying (drinking) with the Rusty Cutlass band into the wee wee morning hours back in 2008. Singing sea shanties and drinking til the moring lite...ahhhh. Great buncha guys!

i saw the parade at central plaza coming from Tomorrowland, as you can see from the vids above. The fireworks I saw them in front of parterns near the edge of the plaza from Main St
