I'm looking to switch up from my go-to restaurant at Hollywood Studios, Sci-fi. I never have leaned towards Mama Melrose, since I always stop at Via Napoli or Tutto Gusto...And I have my favorite signature restaurants, so I never thought to try the Hollywood Brown Derby, Is 50s Prime Time worth a table service credit? I like to eat food that I can't make myself or get close to home...

Super structures are my specialty!
I don't know that the food is anything I couldnt' make at home, but we eat there every trip. It's all comfort food all the time. Pot roast, meat loaf, fried chicken, soups, shakes, flavored sodas, etc... The humor is not for everyone. They will call you out for not eating your veggies, having your elbows on the table, and things like that. We enjoy the hokey humor, the decor, and the food is very good. Well worth the credit in our book. Tell Cousin George i say hey!

Brown Derby is a great spot. Prime Time is not food that you can get anywhere else or you can't make at home. However it is a very fun dining experience, worth the one credit and if you like Sci-Fi you will like Prime Time.

50s is a fun meal. While I'm always kinda meh on what I order, I wind up liking everyone else's food...like DHS fried chicken. I also like the decor and the programming on the TVs. Soooooo, while I can make much of this food at home, the decor and fun servers make it worth trying... At least once.

exactly right Sandy! Plus, the peanut butter and jelly milkshake... WOW We could all probably make this at home but it sure is nice to have someone else do the cooking! ;)

Prime Time is one of my family's must-do restaurants every time we go. It's not so much for the food -- but the experience on a whole is absolutely unique and wonderful. The waitresses and waiters are usually perfectly in character and try their best to give you a one of a kind dinner! It's my favorite restaurant in Hollywood Studios

I think so! Sci Fi is always are go to place is DHS too.... We hada reservation all set for June and when my DS and I were looking at the new lunch menu, we really weren't feeling it so we decided to switch to 50's... It's been a long time since we ate there, but from what I can remember I definitely enjoyed it. Anxious to eat there again in June! Enjoy!

50's is one of my family's favorite! The plates are hearty in size, so you get your money worth of food! The fried chicken and pot roast....YUM! :D

I loved the 50's Prime Time. I actually got my brother sent to the counter for bad language during dinner. One of the funniest things I have ever seen (they even made him wear a bib that said bad boy). I love their fried chicken, but the last couple of times there I have gotten the sampler plate that has fried chicken, meatloaf, and pot roast all on one plate. YUMMY! Just remember what color the soap is when you go to the bathroom.

Maybe it was where our table was, but I didn't think the server was all that interactive, and we did not care for the food, it was probably rated last of our restaurants during that particular trip. That said I am sure I will try it again one of these days now that we have kids.

One Little Spark...
I've never really enjoyed 50's Prime Time. I'd rather do Sci Fi.

However, I've had some great "older brothers and sisters" there, and don't mind going. Plus, the PB&J shake is worth a trip alone.

It's a personal favorite and the have blue plate specials that can match a signature meal - seriously I have always been the envy of the table for choosing the special(although the fried chicken is wicked good to!)
