It's going to cost me 39 bucks to have my rust bucket pickup truck parked at a deluxe resort. Guess there goes my slice of cake
It's going to cost you $42 PLUS TAX to now have your truck parked for you.

Seriously, who charges TAX on valet parking?? 🙄 Oh, Disney. Right.

We have never once paid tax on valet parking...anywhere.

I can't speak for other areas you make park, but Florida law does require a sales tax on valet parking. Disney doesn't profit on the sales tax.

Just quick checking among other hotels, that tax is baked into the cost to valet (at least the first 2 I looked up). So Disney sort of is profiting on it by not taking it out of the $42 fee like other hotels do.

Remember when parking at the overpriced resort you were staying at was free? THat was a revenue stream discovered in the early 2000s that no one ever thought of before outside of an urban area, and now it has become a normal expense....like the "Resort Fee"...these are all things you never had to pay for before and additional revenue streams out of nowhere....and we are still getting price increases semi annually?

Yes
Even though posters aren't explicitly saying it, in fact they are arguing ARPA over ARPU which cannot be explicitly quantified but imputed by observed return rates. ARPA isn't a sound basis for budgeting as it's imputed or implied and varies due to a myriad of different factors. ARPU is a concrete number for money in the bank.

Disney you are missing a huge revenue stream and cost nothing to implement and people require it multiple times a day PAY TOILETS
$0.10 toilets and $20 umbrellas in the rain are the easiest way to beat Rollercoaster tycoon!
I think we need to convert all costs at WDW from USD to BSC // $23 USD = 1 BSC
Sorry 0.0043 BSC toilets and 0.87 BSC Umbrellas in the rain are the easiest way to beat Rollercoaster tycoon!

I don't valet park in FL because...Florida.

Everywhere else it is included in the cost.

Why are we up in arms about a price listed as "Price + Tax" or "Price w/ tax included". Weird thing to get annoyed by.

Let's all try a social media experiment. Let's ALL "not" go to WDW for 6 months and let's see how HIGH we can get ticket and retail to prices go. Let's embargo Disney for another 6 months then 12 then 24 months months and see how much more they raise prices.

If we stopped going for maybe 2 years in super high numbers?

$99 parking?
$250 single day ticket?
$350 per night - All Star Sports?
$11 soda?
$18 pretzel?
$5 charge per bathroom use?

The bigger our movement is, the more we stay away,,..the HIGHER Disney's prices get on the people that will go and pay it!!

The financial laws of "supply vs demand" do NOT apply to Disney. Supply stays the same....demand drops....prices go UP ANYWAY!!!

Everyone was talking about how uncrowded the parks have been, but every time we have gone it is mobbed...seems like more people than ever...Lines are ridiculous for everything.... And the prices going up would indicate that they are not having an issue with dropping attendance....
