Regardless, I think y'all are getting ripped off. I suspect you'd save hundreds of dollars by booking room and tickets through Disney and booking your flights directly with the airline.
That’s just how it’s done over here. We’ve tried doing flight later and didn’t save much, everything is package deals. We always fly with virgin and they sell out quick.

I don't think that is just how it's done over here at all, and I agree with @CaptainAmerica. Last August I booked our room and tickets directly with Disney for our trip this October, and then I booked flights with the airline a couple of months ago. It saved a lot of money and was well worth doing. I set up price alerts for flights on Skyscanner, and the day they dropped by £350 I booked them. It's definitely not the case that everything is package deals and that's the only way to do it.

We did a Virgin package in 2015 and this trip is costing less.

I’m not saying every single person does it that way. Majority of people I know who go to Orlando book it as a package, I wasn’t asking for a debate on how to book flights.

Edit
I also said I always go with virgin who sell out quickly, hence why we do it that way.
